After judging the annual design competition at his alma mater, Andy chose two students whose work showed promise beyond becoming the next fry cook at the BK Lounge to compete for the next internship at House. The merciless House Industries crew pitted the two in a week-long paid “design-off,” then selected one victim. Bondé survived this cruel contest and eventually earned herself a permanent spot on the staff after deciding that she was learning more taking her hard knocks at House Industries than at the local design college. Occupying the difficult space between obsessive Ken Barber's and compulsive Andy Cruz's desks, Bondé is the driving force behind most of our design projects. She resides in Wilmington with several straightedge friends and a menagerie of itinerant animals.
