Posy Casa

Marilyn Neuhart Posy Casa Doll: $100

“We were doing freelance work for some friends who who had an import business. We would trade stuff like folk art...no money ever passed hands. They started importing cloth from Mexico and the minute I saw it I loved it. They were makeing Christmas stockings, Christmas socks, table runners and things like that. They would give me whatever scraps they had left over and I started making dolls out of this Mexican cotton. Then Christmas 1959 came along and I ended up making a doll for for Ray (Eames). She loved it and she wanted one for Girard.” -Marilyn Neuhart
