At Symbol from Studio Lettering Sable. By Ken Barber.
There was a time when you only had to type the "at" symbol when holding down shift and randomly punching keyboard symbols to indicate that the reader should insert some sort of perceived or implied obscenity. Then Al Gore and a bunch of college professors started communicating and collaborating amongst themselves over a new paperless and voiceless digital medium called The Internets. No longer just a partial portion of prosthetic profanity, the at symbol has seen an exponential resurgence in its importance as a typographic accessory and we can think of no one better than Ken Barber to provide the pen strokes to define this modern graphic icon.
