Anticipatory Plagiarism

An interesting discovery from Finnish House correspondents, Leka and Kaisa: quite possibly the first known specimen of Ed Interlock. Both the house and lettering date from 1905, and are located on Fabianinkatu in Helsinki—just in case you care to have a look for yourself.

For those keeping score, I lifted the entry title from Matthew Carter’s lecture on typographic trends last Tuesday at U of D.
