Old Dogs, Old tricks

Besides just trying to finding something cheap, I really only have two plays when it comes to selecting offset printing papers. No. 1: Use what you know looks boss and prints like a champ everytime. For us, that’s always been paper by Jerry French. No. 2: Find the most out of fashion, crappy and/or tacky paper available just to see if you can get a rise out of other designers who have “taste”. Today I got to run both plays on a few French sheets including the same stock we used for our first stationery program in 1993 (Durotone Butcher) and the always out of vogue Parchtone! Rumor has it they’re working on a linen embossed Parchtone offering. Can’t wait to lay some ink on that finish.
